Mark is the Indie Groundbreaker Award-nominated designer of Return to the Stars, an optimistic space opera RPG that mashes up sci-fi exploration with SFF culture. He was an experience designer with the immersive theatrical production The Night Cafe. By day he leads teams building medical devices, and is a co-inventor on patents for both a “Method and System for Health Information Reporting” and an “Image Based Geo Hunt” game. Mimi Mondal | Fiction Editor

Mimi Mondal (she/they) is a writer and editor of the fictitious. Her fiction has been nominated twice for the Nebula Award, once with her novelette “His Footsteps, Through Darkness and Light”, and then ancient-Bengal-inspired setting titled Shankhabhumi in the Dungeons & Dragons anthology Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel. She has also received nominations for the Hugo, British Fantasy and Ditmar Awards, and been awarded a Locus Award in 2018 as the co-editor of the nonfiction anthology Luminescent Threads: Connections to Octavia E. Butler.
She currently serves as the fiction editor of Stellar Beacon magazine, and a founding board member of Plurality University Network, and a jury member for the Crawford Award and the Imagine 2200 short fiction contest from Grist.
Mimi was born and raised in Kolkata, India and lives in New York City, with detours through New Delhi, geotagless Scottish countryside, London, Philadelphia and Camden, NJ.
